Bruins Injury Update: Warsofsky out 2-4 weeks, Krug might return Monday

By on 11/09/2014 09:43:00 PM

David Warsofsky, Boston Bruins defenseman will be missing 2-4 weeks of ice time due to a groin injury, the team announced Sunday. Warsofsky was injured during Boston's 5-2 victory game against the Edmonton Oilers on November 6th.

In addition to Warsofsky's groin injury, defenseman Zdeno Chara (who sustained a knee injury), Torey Krug (who sustained a finger injury), and Kevan Miller (who sustained a shoulder injury) are on the injured list as well. Krug, however, has been practicing since last Friday and there's a chance that the defenseman could return to the ice Monday when the Bruins face the New Jersey Devils.

Boston's center David Krejci also missed another practice on Sunday due to an undisclosed injury, according to NESN. Krejci has missed five games so far this season and also missed last Friday's practice with the team having Saturday off. Chris Kelly, Boston's veteran center, took Krejci's spot on the first line at practice.

Krejci is currently tied for second in scoring for the Bruins (along with Brad Marchand and Dougie Hamilton) with ten points. He’s put in three goals, is a +4, has put up ten minutes in penalties, and has put in a short-handed goal for Boston.
