The Chicago Bulls enter today's game against the Brooklyn Nets coming off a 109-102 win over the Boston Celtics on Friday. Jimmy Butler lead the Bulls with 22 points. At 10-6, the Bulls sit on top in the Central Division. On the injury front, the Bulls will be without Taj Gibson against the Nets due to an ankle injury.

Our own Tim Hanrahan reported on November 22 that Gibson sprained his left ankle in the previous night's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. It's the same ankle that Gibson injured in the second game of the season.

Chuck Swirsky, radio play by play announcer for the Bulls, tweeted the following update on Gibson.
Gibson will now have missed four consecutive games with the injury. Expect Nikola Mirotic, who is averaging 6.3 points and 4.4 rebounds per game, to see additional minutes on the court with Gibson out.

Gibson, in his sixth NBA season out of USC, is averaging 12.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game this season. He had his best season in 2013-2014 when he averaged 13 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. In 384 NBA games, all with the Bulls, Gibson has averages of 9.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.
