Capitals Injury Update: Brooks Laich is unsure when he will return

By on 11/20/2014 01:18:00 PM

Brooks Laich of the Washington Capitals is taking his time coming back to the lineup after a shoulder injury.

The Capitals center sustained his injury (right shoulder) late on October 18th during a shootout win over the Florida Panthers, when he collided with right-winger Shawn Thornton in front of Washington's bench. According to Pro Hockey Talk, Laich has already tried to return to from the injury once on November 7th, but his comeback lasted a single game. Laich said, "I was really trying to push to get back,” he said. “You want to help. You want to be part of the team. You want to help win. That sort of rushed me back the first time, but I can’t go like this", as per the Washington Post.

Laich has played in just six of Washington's 18 games this season and so far has one point (one assist), but despite taking shots during practice, he doesn't feel 100%.
