Cardinals Injury Update: Larry Fitzgerald 'iffy' for Sunday

By on 11/20/2014 11:28:00 AM

Arizona Cardinals fans will be watching practice reports closely as Sunday approaches due to comments made recently by Head Coach Bruce Arians.  Arians said Larry Fitzgerald is "iffy" for Sunday's NFC West match-up against the Seattle Seahawks. Fitzgerald, the all-pro wide-receiver, has been diagnosed with a left knee medial collateral ligament sprain.

Fitzgerald suffered the injury late in the Cardinals victory over the Detroit Lions. The injury was did go to the locker room following the injury but returned to the game helping the Cardinals seal a win. Arizona holds the best record in the NFL at this point, but injuries to Carson Palmer and now Larry Fitzgerald may put a strain on offensive productivity.  Medial collateral ligament injuries are notoriously slow to heal and Fitzgerald missing practice is not a good sign. Should Fitzgerald be able to run and cut prior to the game without pain, his status might change.
