The Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the Utah Jazz on Wednesday by the scored of 102-100. The loss dropped the Cavaliers to 1-3 on the season. Kyrie Irving lead the Cavaliers with 34 points on 12-of-23 shooting from the floor. The Cavaliers were without backup guard Matthew Dellavedova, who injured his knee on Tuesday against the Portland Trail Blazers. It appears the Cavaliers will be without Dellavedova for at least six weeks with a sprained MCL.

As reported by Chris Haynes of, Dellavedova was diagnosed with a Grade II sprain of the MCL in his left knee and most likely will be out six weeks. The loss will hurt the Cavaliers, as Dellavedova appears to be in good favor with David Blatt. Dellvedova made a key three-point field goal in overtime last week against the Bulls.

With Dellavedova out, expect  Dion Waiters and recently signed Will Cherry to see extra minutes in the back court. Waiters scored five points in 13 minutes against the Jazz, while Cherry didn't see any action.

Dellavedova, in his second NBA season, is averaging 2.7 points and 2.3 assists in 19.7 minutes per game this season. Last season, the backup guard out of Saint Mary's averaged 4.7 points and 2.6 assists in 72 games.
