Chiefs Injury Report: Jamaal Charles, Travis Kelce, Anthony Fasano

By on 11/15/2014 04:30:00 PM

The 6-3 Kansas City Chiefs play host to the the defending Super Bowl champs, the Seattle Seahawks, on Sunday afternoon. The Chiefs head into the contest with several of their top offensive weapons making the injury report. Both running back Jamaal Charles and tight end Travis Kelce are listed as probable, with tight end Anthony Fasano listed as questionable.

Star running back Jamaal Charles has been dealing with a shoulder and elbow injury, on top of suffering a stinger in week 10. Charles was a full participant in practice all week, as was Travis Kelce who has a rib injury. Both are listed as probable and will suit up on Sunday.

Fellow tight end Anthony Fasano (knee) was unable to practice all week and his questionable tag does raise some concerns. While Fasano is not a huge threat in the passing game, he is one of their best blocking tight ends. His status will not likely be known until prior to kickoff.

Wide receiver Donnie Avery (groin) was able to get on the practice field this week on a limited basis, but has been ruled out for the game. He has not appeared in a game since September 29th when he sustained the groin injury. Fellow wide receiver A.J. Jenkins (shoulder) has also been ruled out after missing Thursday and Friday's practice. Defensive back Jamell Fleming (hamstring) is the other Chief ruled out for the contest.

Cornerbacks Phillip Gaines (quad/ankle) and Chris Owens (knee) join Fasano as questionable. Alongside Charles and Kelce, CB Sean Smith (groin), LB Josh Mauga (groin), LB/DE Josh Martin (hamstring/knee) and LB Tamba Hali (knee) are all listed as probable.
