Davis with the Magic via Wikimedia Commons |
It was reported that Davis lost 20 pounds over the summer, however Los Angeles head coach Doc Rivers described the weight loss as "throwing a deck chair off the Queen Mary." The eighth-year veteran out of LSU will look to provide frontcourt depth for a 3-2 Clippers team that is 28th in the league in rebounding thus far. Davis may not see too much court time however, as offseason acquisition Spencer Hawes has see major minutes as the first big man off of the bench.
After averaging 30.1 minutes per game with Orlando last season, Davis played just 13.4 minutes per game on the Clippers following a midseason trade. Despite serving as a spark plug off of the Los Angeles bench, Davis will likely only see about 10 minutes per game this year unless a fellow frontcourt member suffers an injury.
