Clippers Injury Update: Spencer Hawes expects to play Monday against the Spurs

The Los Angeles Clippers improved to 4-2 on the season following a 106-102 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday. J.J. Redick lead the Clippers with 30 points on 11-of-13 shooting from the floor. Three other Clippers scored 20 ore more points. On the injury front, Spencer Hawes strained his left foot during the game. Although he was in a walking boot on Saturday, is expected to play today against the Spurs.

According to Fantasy Basketball Affiliate Of The Sports Street Twitter account,
Igor Mello of added that Clippers' coach Doc Rivers said the Hawes is on a minutes restriction due to a left foot strain. Hawes, who has been in a walking boot between games, irritated the injury during Wednesday's win against the Portland Trail Blazers. Hawes had just a point and three rebounds off the bench.

With Hawes expected to see limited minutes against the Spurs, expect Glen Davis to see increased playing time behind DeAndre Jordan.

Hawes, in his eighth NBA season, is averaging six points and four rebounds in 17.7 minutes per game this season. The veteran center has played for the Kings, 76ers, Cavaliers and Clippers and has career averages of 9.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.
