Colts Injury Update: Dwayne Allen, Ahmad Bradshaw

By on 11/18/2014 11:00:00 AM

The Indianapolis Colts suffered a tough home loss at the hands of the New England Patriots on Sunday night by a score of 42-20 and also suffered two key injuries on the offensive side of the ball. Both tight end Dwayne Allen and running back Ahmad Bradshaw had to leave the contest with lower leg injuries and were unable to return.

Dwayne Allen was removed from the game early on and was not able to return. He was not targeted in the game before the leaving. Stephen Holder on Twitter reports that his injury is the least concerning of the two:
With Allen out, Andrew Luck's college teammate, Coby Fleener, had a big game snagging seven passes for 144 yards. He would be the main tight end threat in the passing game if Allen is to miss time.

As for Ahmad Bradshaw, the news wasn't so good:
With Bradshaw likely out for an extended period of time, Trent Richardson, who the Colts traded for last year, should see the majority of the work out of the backfield. The Colts are looking for more production from the running back they traded a first round pick for and now is the perfect opportunity for him to shine.

More information should be out on Bradshaw over the coming days, as Kevin Bowen reported, while Dwayne Allen's rehab and participation in practice should be followed as the Colts approach their week 12 match up with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
