Cowboys Injury Report: Tony Romo, Antony Spencer, Rolando McClain

By on 11/08/2014 06:00:00 PM

After speculation that he might miss tomorrow's game with a back injury, the Dallas Cowboys will have their starting quarterback, Tony Romo, behind center when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Defensive end Antony Spencer is also expected to play, while the status of middle linebacker Rolando McClain is uncertain.

Romo missed last week's game against the Arizona Cardinals, and after Brandon Weeden struggled mightily as his replacement, the Cowboys are urgent to get Romo back on the field. According to the Cowboys' injury report, Romo's participation in practice has trended in the right direction all week. He went from missing practice Wednesday, to being limited Thursday, to fully participating on Friday and is now expected to play.

Spencer is expected to play as well tomorrow, having been a full participant in practice all week. However, McClain's status is unclear after missing practice every day this week. While McClain hasn't been ruled out, it is rare for a player to suit up after not practicing at least once prior to that week's game. McClain has been battling a groin injury for much of the season and injured his knee last week against the Cardinals.

Fantasy owners like the matchup for Romo against the Jaguars this week, but expectations should be tempered as the quarterback will not be operating at 100%. If McClain does miss tomorrow's game, it bodes well for Denard Robinson and the Jaguars' run game.
