Devils Injury Update: Adam Henrique will not be in the lineup tonight

By on 11/06/2014 03:14:00 PM

The New Jersey Devils will be looking to others for an offensive spark tonight against the Blues in St. Louis. According to NJ.com, forward Adam Henrique will miss tonight's game after suffering a strange lower-body injury while hopping over the boards. It wasn't exactly clear when the injury occurred.

The Devils recalled Mike Sislo from the Albany Devils of the AHL and plan to move Dainius Zubrus into Henrique's spot alongside the ageless Patrik Elias and veteran Michael Ryder. Devils head coach Peter DeBoer indicated that it was too early to tell if Henrique would be able to join the squad on their road trip in Detroit on Friday. Currently, Henrique is leading the Devils in points with nine and has scored four goals.

Henrique, who finished third in the Calder Trophy voting in 2011-2012, is playing in his fifth NHL season, all with New Jersey. In 206 career games he has contributed 119 points including 56 goals.
