Devils Injury Update: After six-game absence, Cammalleri back for Devils

By on 11/10/2014 04:44:00 PM

Mike Cammalleri will be returning to the New Jersey Devils after a six game absence to take on the Boston Bruins on Monday.

Cammalleri, who has been out since October 25 with an upper-body injury, was seen at practice on Sunday along with Martin Havlat, who has also missed eight games since he sustained an undisclosed lower-body injury when the Devils faced the New York Rangers. Cammalleri sustained his injury after he was elbowed in the jaw by Dallas Stars captain Jamie Benn on October 24th.

Cammalleri has had a great start to the season, putting up a team-high five goals and seven points in his first eight games as a Devil. The Devils are stuck in a three-game losing streak, scoring just nine goals over the last five games while going zero for their last nine on the power play, so having the two-time 30-goal scorer back in time to play against the Bruins will give the Devils a strong advantage.
