By on 11/07/2014 02:29:00 PM

The New Jersey Devils were forced to play with a short bench on Thursday night when Ryane Clowe left their game with an injury in the first period. He did not return to the game and the Devils fell to the Blues 4-3.

Tom Gulitti from Fire and Ice reported that Clowe left the ice with 3:18 left in the first period and did not return. He has one goal and three assists through the first 13 games of the season with the Devils. The past two seasons have been injury-marred for him as he has played in no more than 43 regular season games the past two seasons. His status for tonight’s game against Detroit is undetermined as the team has not made any announcements.

The Devils are currently managing numerous injuries and need all hands on deck tonight as they attempt to end their two game losing streak. Their record is currently 6-5-2.
