Dolphins Injury Update: Branden Albert may have torn PCL and MCL

By on 11/11/2014 11:08:00 AM

NFL insider Jason La Canfora reports that Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Branden Albert has suffered a season-ending injury to his right knee.

Albert was carted off the field Sunday against the Detroit Lions after defensive tackle Andre Fluellen was blocked into his right knee.  The injury will likely force several changes up-front for the Dolphins offense.

Alain Poupart reports Albert was having an excellent season and was recently named to the mid-season Pro-Bowl team by NFL.com. Head Coach Joe Philbin said after the game sSunday he thought the reconfigured offensive line did a solid job after Albert left the game, and the stats will show that only one of three sacks against Tannehill occurred with Ja'Wuan James at left tackle.  Albert will undergo testing this week on his knee, but at this point no official timeline has been set on his status for surgery or rehabilitation.
