Ducks Injury Update: Beauchemin out 4-6 weeks with a broken finger

By on 11/30/2014 01:18:00 AM

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Francois Beauchemin has been diagnosed with a broken finger and will miss four-to-six weeks, according to the Orange County Register.

With Beauchemin headed for a long-term absence, the Ducks immediately made a deal to restock on depth defensively, acquiring Eric Brewer from the Tampa Bay Lightning for a 2015 third-round draft choice.

Beauchemin has had some unfortunate luck on the health front this season, as he had just gotten over a nasty case of the mumps virus before breaking his finger in his first game back Tuesday.

This latest setback figures to keep him out of commission until after the New Year.

Beauchemin has 0 goals and 5 assists for the Ducks this season.
