By on 11/17/2014 12:58:00 PM

The Anaheim Ducks have placed winger Devante Smith-Pelly on IR as he is recovering from a sore shoulder. He is in danger of not making the upcoming road trip to Canada.

Eric Stephens from the OC Register reported that Smith-Pelly has missed the last two games nursing an aching shoulder. The team believes that this injury occurred in last Wednesday’s game against the rival Los Angeles Kings. He could be left at home while the Ducks travel to Calgary and Vancouver for their next two games. For the season, he has scored three goals and given out four assists with a +/- rating of +3. He has played in 17 of the Ducks' first 19 games.

Anaheim is currently in first place in the Pacific division with a 11-4-4 record. Their next game is Tuesday evening in Calgary against the Flames.
