The Anaheim Ducks are dealing with a set of viruses that are affecting the team at the current time. Corey Perry and Francois Beauchemin are both away from the team with what has been diagnosed as a viral gland infection.

Kyle Shohara from reported that both players are being kept away from the team entirely as they undergo tests. Results from the additional tests are expected to be released on Wednesday. Perry is tied for the league lead with 11 goals in 13 games played despite missing the past three games. He also has a +/- rating of +11(6th in the NHL). Beauchemin has four assists in 15 games and a +/- rating of +2. The Ducks have felt the absences of both players as the team has lost their most recent three games (two losses by shootout and one in overtime).

Anaheim’s next game is on Wednesday in Los Angeles against their cross-freeway rivals the Los Angeles Kings.
