Flyers Injury Update: Luke Schenn Sustains Upper-Body Injury

By on 11/09/2014 01:19:00 PM

Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Luke Schenn left the game against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday after sustaining an upper-body injury when he was slammed into the boards by Avalanche centre Nathan MacKinnon with only 54.4 seconds left in the first period.

Schenn was skating back to the Flyers zone to retrieve a puck when MacKinnon pushed him from behind. Schenn had hit his left shoulder and head into the boards. He did not return for the rest of the game.

MacKinnon was given a five-minute major for boarding. The Flyers have not given an update yet on Schenn following the game.
