The Atlanta Hawks head into tonight's game against the Los Angeles Lakers coming off a 127-94 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday. The loss dropped the Hawks to 5-4, second in the Southeast Division. The Hawks were lead by Paul Millsap, who had 16 points seven rebounds and four assists in 28 minutes. The Hawks will be without DeMarre Carroll, who will miss his fourth straight game with a groin injury.

As reported by Kris Willis at Peachtree Hoops, Carroll sustained the injury last week and sat out the following three games while receiving treatment.  He was declared out following the team's shoot around and  Thabo Sefolosha is expected to start in his absence.

The Hawks don't play again until Friday and then the following Tuesday. Since Sefolasha has played well in Carroll's absence, averaging 11 points per game, it's made the Hawks decision to rest Carroll an easy one.

Carroll, in his sixth NBA season, is averaging 12 points on 49 percent shooting from the floor and 6.3 rebounds per game. Carroll has played for the Grizzlies, Rockets, Nuggets, Jazz and Hawks and has career averages of 6.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in 252 games.
