The Atlanta Hawks head into Friday's game against the Miami Heat coming off a 100-97 win over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday. The win improved the Hawks to 4-3, third in the Southeast Division. Paul Millsap lead the Hawks with 30 points on 13-for-23 shooting and 17 rebounds. The Hawks were without reserve forward Mike Scott due to a back injury. The good news is that Scott is expected to play tonight against the Heat. Scott is second on the depth chart at power forward behind Millsap.

The Associated Press reported on November 12 that Scott would sit out the game against the Jazz with a bruised lower back.

An update on Scott, according to Mike Scott News Twitter page,
Scott is currently listed second on the depth chart at power forward behind Millsap. Pero Antic and Mike Muscala saw additional playing time against the Jazz in Scott's absence.

Scott, in his third NBA season, is averaging 9.7 points on 51.2 percent shooting from the floor, and 2.5 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game. Last season, the power forward out of Virginia averaged 9.6 points and 3.6 rebounds in 80 games. Scott has career averages of eight points and 3.2 rebounds in 126 games.
