Heat Injury Update: Justin Hamilton will not be in the lineup tonight against the Pacers

By on 11/12/2014 02:15:00 PM

Miami Heat center Justin Hamilton will be sidelined as Miami Heat tackle the Indiana Pacers Wednesday night due to a groin injury, as reported by Ira Windrem of the Sun Sentinel.

Justin Hamilton has missed much of the this season and preseason due to variety of injuries and back in October, a minor heart surgery. The team has only played in seven games but Hamilton has already missed three, going onto his fourth.

In the games he has played, Hamilton has been on the court about 18 minutes a game, which is double this on-court time from last season. Despite a small sample size, Hamilton has performed relatively well in his part, shooting a solid 54% from the field and grabbing 3.5 rebounds. However, with the return of Chris Andersen imminent, Hamilton's playing time is likely to drop.

Hamilton will go day by day for now, and his return is unknown. Hamilton originally strained his left adductor on November 8th, and has been out since.
