The Los Angeles Kings got two important pieces of their offense back in the lineup on Sunday. Both Anze Kopitar and Marian Gaborik were back on the ice against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Kopitar had missed the last three games with an upper-body injury. He finished with 19:25 TOI in his return, seeing lots of time on the powerplay and the penalty kill. He also had two shots, two hits, and a blocked shot. Through nine games played this season now, he has two goals and one assist.

Gaborik had missed the last eight games with an undisclosed injury. He did not see much time on special teams, and finished with less ice-time than Kopitar, playing 13:49. He also had one shot of goal. This was his fourth game of the season. He has one assist on the year.

With these returns to the lineup, the Kings were able to play with their top line intact for the first time since October 12.

The Kings lost the game 3-2 against the Hurricanes, and have fallen to 0-3-1 on their five-game road trip, which ends Tuesday in Dallas.
