Lakers Injury Update: Ryan Kelly re-injures hamstring, Nick Young on track for Tuesday debut

By on 11/17/2014 02:00:00 PM

In the second quarter of last night's 136-115 blowout versus the Warriors, Lakers forward Ryan Kelly re-injured his right hamstring. The strain will keep Kelly in L.A. as he will not travel with the team to Atlanta, the Lakers officially announced.

He will see a doctor this morning to determine whether he will join the team later on during its three-game road trip.

For Kelly, last night's game was only his third of the season due to hamstring issues since the preseason. He first came into camp with a left hamstring strain on October 1st, then strained his right hamstring on October 19th. In coach Byron Scott's post-game presser, he said, "It's unfortunate because I really like Ryan and the way he plays."

The injury news isn't all bad for Lakers fans. Dynamic scoring guard Nick Young is on track for his season debut on Tuesday at Atlanta, reports beat reporter Mike Trudell. Last season, Young averaged 17.9 PPG on a career-high 2.1 3FGM.
