Left-winger Ondrej Palat of the Tampa Bay Lightning sustained a lower-body injury but has said he is ready to play Saturday night's game against the New York Islanders, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Palat sustained his injury during the third period of Thursday night's game against the San Jose Sharks. Lightning coach Jon Cooper said per the Lightning website, that Palat got a little banged up toward the end of the game but it was nothing "too serious." Cooper also said that, "A little rest for him [Friday], so, hopefully, he's ready (for the Islanders game)." Palat did miss the Lightning morning practice on Friday, but has said that he is "ready to go." Associate coach Rick Bowness said Palat will be a "game-time decision."

Palat has 11 points (four goals, seven assists) so far this season.
