Lions Injury Update: Reggie Bush expects to play Week 12

By on 11/18/2014 12:54:00 PM

Good news for the Detroit Lions as they attempt to bounce back from a close loss at the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday.  Justin Rodgers of reports that running back Reggie Bush anticipates playing in the upcoming Week 12 match-up against the New England Patriots.  Bush's ankle injury has sidelined him every other week over the past six games.  The nagging injury has seemed to affect his explosiveness moving laterally and has limited his touches after a big 2013 season.

The Lions have struggled this season in the running game with Bush injured and an offensive line that has kept Matthew Stafford scrambling.  However, last week versus the Arizona Cardinals, Joique Bell tallied a season high eighty-five yards rushing.  Lions fans are hopeful that a healthy backfield continues to produce against the Patriots.  Bush said recently, "Our confidence is growing as we get later and later into the season." The Lions are currently tied for first-place in the NFC North with the Green Bay Packers.
