Lions Injury Update: Reggie Bush, Larry Worford, LaAdrian Waddle

By on 11/11/2014 02:24:00 PM

The Detroit Lions scraped out a win Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, and as has been the case all season, the team has a few more injuries to show for it. Fortunately, the Lions have continued to compete this season in spite of major injuries to starting players.

The big injury news from Sunday is that guard Larry Warford is likely out for the foreseeable future, as noted by Sean Yuille of SBN. Warford exited the game on a cart with a wrap around his left knee. Lions coach Jim Caldwell confirmed on Monday that Warford was going to be out "for a little bit."

Warford was replaced in the game by rookie Travis Swanson, and it seems likely that he will continue to be the starter. The Lions also signed offensive lineman Darren Keyton to the practice squad and they might promote Rodney Austin for depth. Offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle also left the game with an injury and it's not clear whether he will miss time yet. If he does, then rookie Cornelius Lucas would likely replace him as he did in the game on Sunday. This presents the possibility that the Lions will start an all-rookie right side of their line against the strong Arizona Cardinals defense this Sunday.

In other injury news, running back Reggie Bush potentially aggravated his ankle injury in the game on Sunday and he was limited for most of the game. His progress and practice time is something to keep an eye on this week.
