The official Twitter account of InsideHoops.com confirmed Gordon's surgery on Friday.
#Orlando Magic rookie Aaron Gordon had foot surgery today. He's out indefinitely: http://t.co/MOdUveHdy6John Denton of NBA.com also added that the surgery repaired the fractured fifth metatarsal in Gordon's left foot. The fracture was revealed following last Saturday's game through an X-ray. Gordon consulted with specialist Dr. Bob Anderson before deciding on surgery.

Although there is no timetable for Gordon's return, both head coach Jacque Vaughn and Tobias Harris successfully recovered from a similar injury and think Gordon will have no issues returning.
``(I would tell him) that I have no pain and that you can come back from the injury,’’ Vaughn said. ``It’s a temporary setback for him and it’s a great time to be around the game and mentally test yourself and test your resolve and get better in other ways besides just being on the floor.’’With Gordon out indefinitely, expect Maurice Harkless and Andrew Nicholson to continue to see additional minutes up front.
Gordon, in his rookie season out of Arizona, is averaging 5.8 points on 58.1 percent shooting and three rebounds in 15 minutes per game. In one season at Arizona, Gordon averaged 12.4 points and eight rebounds in 31.2 minutes per game.
