As reported by Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel, Harris suffered the injury during his pregame routine on Friday. He still logged 40 minutes and scored 17 points and hauled in 16 rebounds against the Hornets. When he received an MRI on Saturday, the exam revealed a strain in the right calf. He's considered day-to-day.
Considering that Harris has logged more miles on the court than anyone in the league, according to the league's SportVU tracking system, Harris could see some additional rest upon returning to the court to avoid re-aggravating the injury.
Should Harris be unable to play and need extra rest tonight against the Cavaliers, expect Maurice Harkless to see additional time on the court.
Harris, in his fourth season out of Tennessee, is averaging 18.8 points and 8.4 rebounds in 36.6 minutes per game. Harris has played for the Bucks and Magic and has career averages of 11.4 points on 46.2 percent shooting and 5.4 rebounds in 174 games.
