By on 11/10/2014 06:30:00 AM

The Orlando Magic fell to 2-5 on the season following a 104-96 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday. The Magic were lead by Nikola Vucevic, who had 27 points on 13-of-19 shooting and 12 rebounds. The Magic were without guard Victor Oladipo, who is out with a facial fracture. There is no word as to how long Oladipo will be out, but he was seen wearing a protective mask this weekend during practice.

I reported on October 25 that Oladipo, who had been recovering from a sprained MCL, suffered a facial fracture in practice and would be out indefinitely.

An update on Oladipo, according to the official Twitter account of the Orlando Magic,
Bryan Rose of added that Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls sat down recently with Oladipo and gave him some encouraging words.
“Just have faith and be patient. He’s young. He’s very good, as everybody knows, and he’s going to have a lot of basketball to play. So just take his time. Let everything heal, and when he gets back out there, play and go as hard as he can.”
Oladipo, the Magic's first round draft pick last season out of Indiana, averaged 13.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game as a rookie. He shot 41.9 percent from the floor, 32.7 percent from three-point range and 78 percent from the free throw line.
