Maple Leafs Injury Update: Daniel Winnik leaves game on stretcher

The Toronto Maple Leafs will be without forward Daniel Winnik for an undetermined amount of time after a scary moment against the Colorado Avalanche in Denver last night. According to CBC.ca, Winnik was knocked unconscious when he landed awkwardly after taking a hit from Avalanche defenseman Jan Hejda.




Winnik is currently tied for fourth in scoring for the Maple Leafs this season with seven, including one goal. He has played in 503 career games in stints with Phoenix (now Arizona), Colorado, San Jose, Anaheim and now, Toronto.
