Maple Leafs Injury Update: Daniel Winnik is back at practice and will return to the lineup tonight

By on 11/12/2014 06:40:00 PM

It is hard to believe that less than a week after taking a scary fall in Denver, Daniel Winnik has returned to practice and will be on the ice Wednesday night against the Boston Bruins.

Stephen Whyno from The Canadian Press reported that Winnik skated by himself on Monday, took part in Tuesday’s practice and will return to the lineup Wednesday against the Boston Bruins. After morning skate on Wednesday, he was officially cleared to play tonight. Video of his pre-game comments are here. He is excited to return to the ice and confident that he can contribute right away. Through 13 games, he has one goal and six assists with a +/- rating of +6.

This is more positive news for Toronto as they are enjoying a two-game winning streak and look to continue building on their momentum with a victory tonight. They are currently 8-5-2.
