Oilers Injury Update: Taylor Hall could resume skating Monday

By on 11/09/2014 04:31:00 PM

Edmonton Oilers left-winger Taylor Hall could possibly be seen on the ice Monday. However, there is not accurate time frame to when he will be returning to the Oilers lineup as he is out right now with a sprained MCL.

Hall sustained his injury early in the month when he charged hard towards the Vancouver Canucks net, lost his footing and his leg rammed into the post, as per ProHockeyTalk. The Oilers announced last Sunday that Hall would be sidelined 2-4 weeks with the sprain.

Things are looking up for the Edmonton Oilers despite the brief loss of Hall, with 14.2 scoring chances per game and 14.7 chances against, according to Edmonton Journal. The Oilers also out-chanced the Buffalo Sabres 23-to-8, and beat them 3-2 last Friday. While Hall is one of the key elements for Edmonton's top line, they have a depth of forwards with skill and size who have the potential to step up and play bigger, important minutes until Hall's return.

So far this season, Hall has scored 6 goals and 10 points in 11 games while sending 36 shots on goal.
