Packers Injury Report: Clay Matthews, Datone Jones, T.J. Lang

By on 11/22/2014 05:30:00 PM

The red hot Green Bay Packers take on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday afternoon in an NFC North divisional clash. Their improved defense over the last couple weeks has helped them stay hot and the move of LB Clay Matthews to the inside has played a huge factor. Matthews did tweak his groin in Week 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles though and his status for the game was a big question mark throughout the week.

Clay Matthews was able to practice, although on a limited basis, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and is listed as probable according to the Packers official injury report. Matthews has a history of soft tissue injuries, but is normally able to suit up without too much of an issue. In order for their defense to stay hot, Matthews is going to have to continue to play at a high level.

Both the Packers inside lineman, guards T.J. Lang (ankle) and Josh Sitton (toe) were only able to practice on Thursday on a limited basis. Both were on the Packers injury report for the last couple games although neither missed any time and played very well. They are both listed as probable and there shouldn't be any concern about them suiting up barring a last minute setback.

DE Datone Jones, who previously missed three games with an ankle injury, re-injured his ankle on Thursday as reports. He was limited on Friday and is questionable for the match up. OLB Nick Perry (shoulder) is also questionable and was unable to practice all week.

TE Brandon Bostick (hip) is listed as out with Jarrett Bush (groin) and preseason star OLB Jayrone Elliot (hamstring) both questionable. CB Davon House (illness) rounds out the injury report and joins the cast of players listed as probable.
