Luongo sustained an upper-body injury (arm) during Wednesday night's game against the Carolina Hurricanes only nine minutes and 38 seconds into the second period and did not return for the rest of the game. He did not appear to be injured on a specific play but skated to the Panthers bench during a time-out and spoke with coaches before going into the locker room, as per NHL.
According to Miami Herald columnist George Richards' tweet, the Panthers general manager Dale Tallon said Luongo's arm injury is 'not serious' and that he's day-to-day.
Luongo has 471 saves and a save percentage of .927 so far this season.
