Red Wings Injury Update: Pavel Datsyuk misses practice as sore groin returns

By on 11/17/2014 03:09:00 PM

Detroit Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk did not take part in the Red Wings morning practice on Monday because of groin issues.

Datsyuk sustained a groin injury during a team skate on November 7th, which caused him to miss two games before returning on November 14th. Datsyuk played two games over the weekend against the Chicago Blackhawks and the Montreal Canadiens, but spent Monday in the training room getting treatment, according to Detroit News. Coach Mike Babcock said that that Datsyuk will accompany the Red Wings to Tuesday's game in Columbus, but it's unknown whether he'll be ready to play or not.

Datsyuk has 11 points (five goals, six assists) so far this season.
