Saints Injury Report: Khiry Robinson, Pierre Thomas, Robert Meachem

By on 11/29/2014 03:45:00 PM

The New Orleans Saints head to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers as both teams continue to vie for the limited playoff spots in their respective conferences. The Saints (4-7) are still very much in the hunt for the NFC South title and have been healthier overall the last few weeks. Their offensive backfield has had several injuries throughout the year and both Khiry Robinson and Pierre Thomas once again highlight the injury report.

RB Khiry Robinson is trying to get back on the field as he battles a forearm injury. He has been ruled for the Week 13 match up though according to the Saints injury report, which will mark the sixth straight game he has missed. He has yet to practice since sustaining the injury on October 19th.

Fellow RB Pierre Thomas (rib/shoulder) was able to return in Week 12 and totaled 11 touches for 56 yards. He is a big part of the Saints offense as a third down back and is capable of complementing Mark Ingram, who also recently returned from injury. Thomas is listed as probable and is expected to play.

WR Robert Meachem is also listed as probable with an ankle injury. Meachem is having a tough time staying on the field this year and has just five catches for 85 yards and is yet to catch a touchdown pass.

Rounding out the injury report are LB Kyle Knox (hand) who has been ruled out while G Ben Grubbs (neck), C Jonathan Goodwin (toe), LB Curtis Lofton (ankle) and Cb Keenan Lewis (knee) are all listed as probable.
