Saints Injury Report: Mark Ingram, Jimmy Graham, Kenny Stills

By on 11/09/2014 12:16:00 PM

The New Orleans Saints host the San Francisco 49ers in one of the marquee matchups of the early slate of games this Sunday afternoon. Despite not playing up to their full potential so far this season, the Saints are in a great position to win the NFC South thanks to a weak division.

You can expect the 49ers to give the Saints everything they can handle today as they are fighting for their playoff lives. Apparently a 4-4 record in the NFC West does not sit as well as it does in the South. If the Saints are going to win today, they will have to do it with a depleted rushing attack as three of their running backs appear on their injury report this week.

Inside linebacker David Hawthorne did not practice this week and is out of today's game with a hand injury. Khiry Robinson (arm) and Pierre Thomas (rib/shoulder) were held out of practice this week and the duo of running backs will be sidelined for their third straight game today. Wide receiver Robert Meachem was held out of practice this week with an ankle injury. Meachem is listed as questionable, but has been ruled out according to Evan Woodbery of

More trouble at running back for the Saints; Mark Ingram was limited in practice this week and is questionable to play today with a shoulder injury. That's not a good sign for the Saints, who are counting on Ingram to carry the workload on the ground this week.

Center Jonathan Goodwin was limited this week with a sprained MCL and an ankle injury. Goodwin's is listed as questionable. Rounding out the questionables is offensive tackle Zach Strief, who missed practice this week. Woodbury reports Goodwin and Strief are both active for today's game. We will have to monitor how many snaps they are on the field for today.

Wide receiver Kenny Stills was limited in practice this week with a thigh injury, but the Saints don't expect it to cause Stills to miss today's game. Stills is listed as probable.

Tight end Jimmy Graham's shoulder injury did not stop him from fully practicing this week and barring something unusual, it will not stop him from taking the field today. Graham is officially listed as probable for today's game.
