Seahawks Injury Report: Cooper Helfet, Marshawn Lynch, James Carpenter

By on 11/26/2014 04:34:00 PM

The Seattle Seahawks are entering the point in their schedule where four out of their last five games are against division rivals, in other words, it could make or break their season. Thursday, they face off with the San Francisco 49ers after beating arguably the NFL's top team in the Arizona Cardinals four days prior.

Probably the biggest news coming out of the Seahawks camp today is the news that tight end Cooper Helfet will not play on Thursday, per a story by ESPN. Helfet scored the eventually game-sealing touchdown against the Cardinals on Sunday, but sprained his ankle late in the game. He did not practice this week and will not travel to San Francisco with the team.

Center Max Unger and linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis also did not practice this week, according to the team website. Neither player will be active on Thursday.

Running back Marshawn Lynch was limited this week in practice with a back injury that he's been nursing the last few weeks. Cornerback Jeremy Lane was also limited with a glute injury. Players who were limited on Monday, but full on Tuesday include cornerback Marcus Burley (hamstring), guard James Carpenter (ankle), defensive end Demarcus Dobbs (knee) and wide receiver Jermaine Kearse (ankle).

Despite Lynch's limited practice, coach Pete Carroll said the running back had a good week and should be ready to go on Thursday.
