Seahawks Injury Report: Marshawn Lynch, Kam Chancellor, Michael Bennett

By on 11/15/2014 03:00:00 PM

The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, who are sitting at 6-3, head to Kansas City to take on the 6-3 Chiefs. The Seahawks have not been quite the dominate force they were as they finished up their Super Bowl run and have several key players battling ailments as they prepare for Sunday's contest. Running back Marshawn Lynch highlights the injury report and is listed as questionable for the match up.

Marshawn Lynch did not participate in practice on Wednesday or Thursday according to the Seahwaks official injury report. He was a full participant Friday as he deals with a calf and rib injury though. The Seattle Times reports that unofficially coach Pete Carroll does expect Lynch to be available after good day of practice on Friday. His status should be closely monitored prior to their 1 pm kickoff and fantasy owners should have a contingency plan in place, just in case.

On strong safety Kam Chancellor, who missed the last two games with a groin injury, Carroll said he had a strong week of practice and will start. Chancellor is officially listed as probable, as is defensive end Michael Bennett who sat out Wednesday's practice to rest. The probable tag is just a formality.

LB Bobby Wagner (toe) is the only Seahawk listed as out, with DB Marcus Burley (hamstring) and G James Carpenter (ankle) both listed as doubtful after not practicing all week.

CB Jeremy Lane (groin) and TE Luke Wilson (ankle) join Lynch as questionable. LB Malcolm Smith (groin) and TE Cooper Helfet (knee) round out the injury report and are both listed as probable.
