Senators Injury Update: Marc Methot resumes skating, but still not close

By on 11/12/2014 11:35:00 AM

It looks like it will be three more weeks until Marc Methot will be hitting the ice with the Ottawa Senators after a back injury.

The Senators defenseman has been trouble by the back/hip ailment since the start of camp. According to the Ottawa Sun, he was not able to suit up for any of the club's exhibition games and hasn't played this season. Methot practised with the team Tuesday for the first time since opening day of training camp. With having to get back to skating at full speed, rejoining the team, getting cleared for contact, and then resume playing, Methot still has a long way to go.

Methot had 23 points last season with the Senators (six goals and 17 assists), and in his overall career has 85 points.
