Sixers Injury Update: Nerlens Noel tried to practice Thursday, will not play Friday

The Philadelphia 76ers fell to 0-5 on the season following a 91-89 loss to the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night. Tony Wroten lead the 76ers with 27 points on 9-of-16 shooting, to go along with eight assists. On the injury front, Nerlens Noel, who played only 17 minutes against the Magic, missed practice on Thursday and has been rule out for tonight's game against the Chicago Bulls.

Tom Moore, who covers the 76ers for Calkins Media, tweeted the following last night on Noel.
Michael Preston, Director of Public Relations for the 76ers, tweeted the following, confirming Noel's status for tonight.
With Noel out of the lineup, expect Malcolm Thomas and JaKarr Sampson to see additional playing time against the Bulls.

Noel, a 20-year old out of Kentucky, is averaging 7.2 points 5.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.6 steals per game this season. His best game was October 31 against the Bucks when he scored 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting, to go along with ten rebounds in 35 minutes.
