Steelers Injury Report: Troy Polamalu, Heath Miller, Ryan Shazier

By on 11/02/2014 03:00:00 PM

Last week the Pittsburgh Steelers destroyed the Colts and Ben Roethlisberger set a franchise record in the process. He threw for 522 passing yards and an impressive 6 touchdowns, guiding his team to its fifth win of the season. This week the Steelers put their winning streak on the line against the 5 – 3 Baltimore Ravens:

The Steelers’ final Week 9 Injury Report should have fans optimistic about the team winning their third straight game and improving to 6 – 3 on the season, especially with Big Ben coming off a record setting night.

Of the players listed on the final report, only two are considered out for tonight’s game - Ike Taylor (forearm) and S Ross Ventrone (hamstring). Interestingly enough, Taylor did practice this week although he was limited to light drills. Much like his teammate Ventrone, his hamstring isn’t quite healed yet.

Now for the good news, there are nine players that fans and fantasy owners alike should expect to see on the field come tip-off. One of those nine players is none other than Mr. Shampoo himself, S Troy Polamalu (not injury related) who returned to full practice on Friday after being a DNP earlier in the week.

The remaining eight players have been listed as probable for tonight’s matchup: T Marcus Gilbert (concussion), DE Brett Keisel (not injury related), NT Steve McLendon (shoulder), TE Heath Miller (not injury related), S Mike Mitchell (groin), LB Ryan Shazier (knee), TE Matt Spaeth (hamstring) and lastly S Shamarko Thomas (hamstring). Every player listed above participated in full practice on Friday, which is always a good sign.

As for tonight, the Steelers will meet up with the Ravens at 8:30 PM EST on NBC and Sirius XM Radio.
