Texans Injury Update: Arian Foster didn't suffer setback

By on 11/21/2014 10:00:00 AM

Running back for the Houston Texans, Arian Foster, missed last week's game and appears iffy to play against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, and will likely be a true "game-time" decision.

Foster was out last week with a lingering groin injury, but was able to return to practice yesterday in limited fashion. Foster missed practice completely yesterday, but despite trending in the wrong direction, according to John McClain of Ultimate Texans, Foster did not suffer a setback.

Whether Foster will be able to practice today or not will be telling for his status this Sunday. For what it's worth, head coach Bill O'Brien said Foster would be a game-time decision prior to last week's game as well, which Foster missed.

If Foster is able to play, be sure to get him into your fantasy lineup, as he will be facing a porous Bengals' defense that running backs have been able to take advantage of, especially as of late. If Foster is forced to miss another game, Alfred Blue will be his replacement. Blue started last week against the Cleveland Browns and totaled 156 yards on a whopping 36 carries. Another heavy workload can be expected for whoever the starter is, as the Texans will likely try to limit Ryan Mallet's influence on what is just his second ever NFL start.
