Timberwolves Injury Update: Ricky Rubio leaves game with sprained ankle, to be evaluate Saturday

The Minnesota Timberwolves fell to the Orlando Magic on Friday by the score of 112-103. The loss dropped the Timberwolves to 2-3 on the season, second in the Northwest Division. There was a scary moment in the second quarter, when starting point guard Ricky Rubio left the game with a sprained ankle. He had four points, six assists and three rebounds in 13 minutes at the time of the injury and will be evaluated on Saturday.

With Rubio out, expect Mo Williams , who had four points and seven assists in 31 minutes off the bench, to get the bulk of the playing time at point guard.

Rubio, in his fourth NBA season, is averaging 10.8 points, 11 assists and 6.3 rebounds per game this season. In 184 career games, all with the Timberwolves, Rubio is averaging 10.2 points, 8.2 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game.
