Titans Injury Update: Delanie Waker suffers concussion

By on 11/13/2014 10:15:00 AM

Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker suffered a concussion against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday and will most likely miss a couple of weeks.

The news was first reported via John Clayton’s and Terry McCormick’s twitter accounts.

The Titan’s fan website Titans247 also tweeted about Walker’s condition.
Delanie Walker posted from his personal twitter stating his current state and that he will be alright.
The hit apparently occurred when Walker was going for a reception, but was hit by Terrence Brooks instead.

According to, “Titans tight end Delanie Walker departed Sunday’s game at Baltimore with a concussion after taking a fierce second quarter hit from Ravens rookie safety Terrence Brooks. Brooks hit Walker in the shoulder area on a potential reception, sending Walker to the ground. Walker was down for a few minutes, then got up and was eventually carted inside. The team soon announced Walker had been ruled out with his injury.”

his season Walker has played very well considering a new team and a new offense. This season he has caught 38 passes for 512 yards and four touchdowns.

Ken Wisenhunt was obviously shaken by the loss of Walker but went on to say how the team needed to move forward with its season.

According to The Tennesean, "There's no question it has an effect on your chemistry and on what you're trying to do," Whisenhunt said of Walker, who'd already caught three passes for 37 yards. "But there's lot of teams in the league that lose players. You have to move forward. That's part of this business. That's probably one of the things that we have to get better at as a football team – responding to those situations."

Taking his place in the offense, Walker will likely see sophomore WR Kendall Wright as well as veteran WR Nate Washington. This is a huge loss for a struggling Tennessee Titans squad. Once they get back Walker, the better this offense will be considering Jake Locker has been battled with injuries as well.
