Vikings Injury Update: Jarius Wright exits with a hamstring injury

By on 11/17/2014 05:30:00 PM

The Minnesota Vikings failed to beat a reeling Chicago Bears' squad on Sunday, losing 21-13 after jumping out to an early 10-0 lead. An already thin group of wide receivers was hampered by injuries during the game, including Jarius Wright, who exited with a hamstring issue and failed to catch pass.

Wright was only targeted once on Sunday before leaving the game, and he has now topped 30 receiving yards just once in the last six games (four catches for 60 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 7). Since what looked like a potential breakout performance in Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons, when he set single-game career-highs with eight receptions for 132 yards in Teddy Bridgewater's first start, Wright has been a non-factor in a Vikings' passing game that is seeking difference makers.

Wright's status for Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers is unknown at this early stage. His level of practice activity as the week goes on will help clarify things, with Friday's injury report lending a final declaration of his status.
