Vikings Injury Updates: Cordarrelle Patterson injures knee, ankle

By on 11/24/2014 12:02:00 PM

Minnesota Vikings wide-receiver Cordarrelle Patterson suffered minor knee and ankle injuries during Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers.  Brian Murphy reports that Patterson was hurt during his forty-two yard kickoff return in the third quarter of the game. He was briefly tended to by the training staff on the sidelines but later returned to the field.

Patterson will be re-evaluated on Monday, but he indicated he didn't feel the injury was significant. It's not unusual for NFL teams to be cautious in evaluating a player like Patterson who has explosive play abilities. Patterson finished with two catches for just eighteen yards, but his kickoff return kept pressure on the Packers in the second half.  The Vikings continue to look for answers against teams in the NFC North division.
