Wizards Injury Update: Bradley Beal returns to practice

By on 11/19/2014 07:30:00 AM

The Washington Wizards enter tonight's game against the Dallas Mavericks coming off a 98-93 win over the Orlando Magic on Saturday. At 7-2, the Wizards sit on top in the Southeast Division, two games ahead of the Miami Heat. The Wizards continue to play without shooting guard Bradley Beal, who is recovering from a wrist injury. The good news is that Beal returned to practice, although there is no timetable for his return.

Our own Eric Black reported on October 17 that Beal suffered a broken left wrist in a game against the Charlotte Hornets and was expected to miss about six weeks.

An update on Beal, according to the Washington Wizards @topWWizards Twitter account,
Garrett Temple, a fifth-year guard out of LSU, should continue to see a bulk of the minutes at shooting guard until Beal returns. Temple is averaging 9.1 points and 3.9 rebounds per game this season.

Beal, in his third NBA season, averaged 17.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game last season. The 21-year old guard out of Florida has career averages of 15.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 129 games.
