Our own Pete Schwichtenberg reported on October 16 that Vogt's foot surgery went well and he's looking at a six-to-eight week timetable for his rehab. He's expected to be ready for Spring Training.
Jane Lee, who covers the A's for MLB.com, tweeted the following update on Vogt.
Vogt may be a little behind in Spring Training but fully expects to be ready to go before Opening Day. Extremely anxious to catch again.Vogt hit .279 with nine home runs and 35 RBI in 269 at bats this season. Vogt has played for the Rays and A's over parts of the last three seasons and has a career batting average of .254 with 13 home runs and 51 RBI in 149 games.
