C.J. Spiller suffered a broken collarbone against the Minnesota Vikings back in October. Spiller was allowed to return to practice on Wednesday after he was ruled eligible. Although he is not ready to return to the active roster until Week 16 when the Bills face Oakland. Spiller participating in practice is a great step in recovery. "We're two weeks away from him even having a chance to play." Marrone said. "He's just out there, which is a good sign, and then we'll just take it as we go." Before Spiller's season was cut short he had rushed the ball 69 times for a total of 287 rushing yards as well as recording 14 receptions. The Bills look forward to his hopeful return Week 16.
Sammy Watkins was a limited participant in practice this week after he faced a hip injury in last weeks win against the Cleveland browns. Head coach Doug Marrone reported to the media of the sustained injury the Bills WR had obtained. As Watkins finished the game his chances of participating in game play on Sunday is good but the situation is one to keep watch.
